How Do You Follow Contacts on Instagram?
There are two ways to find people to follow on Instagram. You can connect your device contact list in the app and Instagram will recommend accounts to follow based on your contacts.
Open the Instagram app.
Tap the Search icon.
In the search bar, type the desired contact name or username.
From the search results, choose the correct Instagram profile belonging to the desired contact, and tap on Follow. Note: You cannot follow a private account even if it shows in your list. Likewise, if someone blocked or banned you, it may not appear in search results.
